And now we go UP.

As my friend Keri said in the comments, we've been on a bit of rollercoster lately. This morning was a DOWN. Rhys had separation anxiety. But, now, at the end of the day, we are on a big UP. Arrived to pick him up at 2:45pm, he was happy and enjoying a snack and thrilled to see us. He was handing out smiles to everyone. His eye was totally cleared up. He napped for 1 hour and 45 minutes! He had fish sticks for lunch - his first fish ever! He stayed up an extra hour tonight and went to bed at 6:20pm. Mmmmm...I'm so proud of him.

(Note to grandparents: sorry for the lack of Rhys photos. Our card reader is dead...hopefully we'll get a new one soon!).

The problem with the roller coaster analogy is that the whole way up, you are anxious in anticipation of the down. Keri, we need a new one that let`s them enjoy the highs. Meanwhile, glad it was an UP today.

How about a ferris wheel then?? The up is always the best part! And no anxiety. (Well, unless you're scared of heights...)

Glad it went better today! Major "phewf".

"This too shall pass"

There seems to be a few opinions on why/where this expression originated, (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/This_too_shall_pass), but I always try to think of it when I am going through a tough time. What is happening in your family right now is beyond difficult, but hopefully you can take comfort in knowing that soon every day will be an "up" one.

Hang in there my friend. There IS light at the end of the tunnel.
