Now, of course I had to test out my new purchase, so last night I made a Double Shot Decaf Sugar Free Vanilla Latte to enjoy while Warren & I watched District 9. For the record, District 9 isn't really a 'Latte' movie...it's more of a triple shot of Jack Daniel's kind of movie. Note to self: Learn what a movie is about before watching!
Today: I have a small list of household type items we need, so it's off to Ikea with Rhys & Gramma Patsy. One thing I need is some sort of container to house all my new espresso capsules. Each of these boxes holds 10 of those little capsules...and I need a place to put them. The 'dispensers' that Nespresso sells are a rip-off, so my mission is to find something just as good, for way less cashola.
Wish me luck!

I'm so glad that you got Torani syrups. They are the only brand to buy in my opinion. I worked at the Second Cup for 4 years and they are the ones I liked best - plus they last forever.
Raspberry with the Chocolate actually makes a half decent latte if you're into that kind of thing.
But typically the raspberry and other fruit varieties are meant to be mixed with soda water to make some DELICIOUS italian sodas! My personal favorite and invention - The Pink Flamingo. Half peach, half pink grapefruit. Awesome!
Hazelnut will be a key one - good for steamers and mixed with white hot chocolate as well as for your coffee.
Have fun playing Barista!
Nikki - that is best comment ever! It was a total fluke that I bought Torani - Second Cup was the only place I could think of to look for syrup! Now I'm totally going to buy Raspberry, Peach and Grapefruit...I never thought to make soda drinks or mix fruit flavours with Chocolate. You are a genius. Thank goodness you read my blog, my tastebuds thank-you!
Yes, the Italian sodas are good. Vanilla lattes are good. Seriously, I will find you some hazelnut syrup. Of course, I would need to taste the hazelnut latte when I drop it off. Hint hint. ;-)
