Today was our planned induction date, but instead, Rhys is now one week old.
We're hanging in there...have had one or two breastfeeding meltdowns, some sleep deprived mishaps that we beat ourselves up over, but we have also had laughing fits and emotional connections that we have never experienced before. Warren and I know how lucky we are.
I have so much I want to write about...my birth story (in the works!) and many Warren stories (a readers favorite!) and of course pics to share. But top priority is taking care of ourselves and that's a big job right now.

One week old! Already!! Yay, baby Rhys!!
Can't wait to hear/read all about your parenting adventures...but in the meantime, definitely focus on taking care of yourselves! We can wait. :)
Wow, one week already! That's hard to believe. Sooooo glad you didn't have to get induced, that kid had a the right idea coming all by himself ;-)
Take good care, laughter is soooooo important as those first few weeks are really a gong show. But it won't be long until you're into a groove and soon you won't be able to remember what your life was like without him!
You are doing great. You and Warren are lucky, and Rhys is lucky to have wonderful parents. Nobody figures it all out in a week (or a year, or 8 years???). A sense of humour and an occasional glass of wine will get you through. Before you know it, he'll be 6 weeks!
