Livin' in the Ghetto

Today, I'm trying to get a start on some Spring Cleaning. Which I always find very painful. However I do love the feeling of throwing out all the CRAP that I haven't used/thought of/remembered I had over the last year.

First, I had to clear out any ignored-for-too-long laundry from the bedrooms. I made piles in the living room, and apparently River thought I was making her a bed. She's silly that way. I snapped a photo because I thought she looked ridiculous - like she was a homeless dog trying to make a home out of whatever she could find.

Once the laundry was sorted, I moved on to tackle the 'scary' spare bedroom closet. It was full of empty cardboard boxes from when we moved, as well as other boxes that were full of more CRAP that we didn't know what to do with when we moved. My goal today is to make this a functioning, USABLE closet.

I was being good - breaking down the boxes so they could be recycled - and keeping any old plastic bags to be recycled also. Then PORTER decides THAT looks like a good bed too. So I snapped a photo.

Seriously, please don't call Animal Services on me. My dogs only LOOK like they live in the Ghetto.

And as a side note; I'm I the only one who's house actually seems to get MESSIER when I'm trying to clean?

I always say that "out of mess comes greatness." Or that's the saying I use to justify the fact I ALWAYS make more mess as I go along.

Cleaning is kind of like dominoes. You always find more things to clean as you are going along cleaning what you had originally set out to clean!! Does it drive your hubby crazy too??

It's probably a good thing that we don't offer our "help" to any one else!
