Here's a clip of the second half of Kanye West's 2008 Grammy Performance, in case you missed it (and in case you care? I guess...)
His mom died this year, from complications from plastic surgery.
I know it seems kind of cheesy - he's a big spoiled Rapper and all - but this performance for his mom was really touching, I thought. He was really close to his mom, and there's just something about a MAN singing about his LOVE for his MOM.
I especially love the line (at the 2 minute mark if you're short on time) 'Last night I saw you in my dreams, and now, I can't wait to go to sleep. This Life is all a dream. So my real life starts, when I'm asleep.'
I think anyone who's lost a loved one can relate to that.

I totally had a tear in my eye for that performance....it made him seem a bit more human, I think.
