This past Christmas I was totally spoiled by my family. One gift that was a special surprise, was an iPod Touch from Warren.
The new generation iPod touch has a camera and records video, just like the iPhone. So I've been whipping it out to record little snippits of Rhys - moments that I never would have captured with our 'real' video camera.
Once I finally figured out how to get the footage off my iPod and onto my computer, I realised that shooting vertically wasn't such a good idea. All the video was sideways.
Another tough lesson - it appears that the iPod footage and You Tube don't like each other. It seems like I'm stuck using Blogger's crumby video upload tool. So, this post is basically a test to see if blogger likes the footage. In the preview I'm seeing as I write this, Rhys' head appears to be cut off :-(

It worked! I'm still going to keep trying You Tube, but in the meantime - more embedded blogger videos to come! Some highlights will include:
- Rhys eating cheerios with ridiculous morning hair.
- Rhys blowing a whistle.
- Rhys makes funny faces.
- Rhys plays guitar.
- Rhys sings 'echo' Karaoke.
- Rhys goes sledding.
Oh - and did I mention? They will ALL be sideways.
Ha! Personally, I don't give a rip that the vids are sideways. Keep 'em coming!
(Also, can you even fathom that one day Rhys WILL fit in those shoes??)
First of all, I need to see your son more often. It's like he's grown up already! Seriously.
Second, it never gets less funny when people turn a video camera sideways, but it is even more funny when it's a TV person who does it.
Third, can you turn the video in an editing program? And then, maybe export in a more youtube friendly format?
Fourth, we're totally fine to turn our heads. He is too cute!
ha ha ha what Shawna said!!!! But we've all done it. As much as I am looking forward to the new videos, I secretly hope they are straight :-) (I guess that wasn't so secret after all)
